Abstract
The advances of human activities mainly food productions have led to the more intensive use of land and placing it at critical levels, this activity together with others such as demographic expansion and many more, requires government intervention, who have the duty to carry out the Land Use Plans (PLOT) and land use planning (PLUS), to give the efficient and adequate use to all regions of Ecuador. In this case, a proposal for a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) methodology is presented, which is being applied in the Parishes of Santa Rosa de Flandes and Jesús María, Naranjal canton, Guayas province, Ecuador, which is a modification of the one described by the UN adapted to the conditions of our country. This design applies to non-experimental research in a transsectional - correlational / causal descriptive type because it will describe the relationships between variables with empirical - inductive epistemological approach, carried out in four phases: preliminary, laboratory, field and data processing, where the entire methodological procedure is developed to measure variables such as precipitation, temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, natural fertility, texture, slope / topography, geoforms, types of use, vegetation, land tenure, composition of the agricultural population, tillage of the land, which then through analysis and classification allows planning and national land management to give it the proper use and protect the environment over time taking advantage of its benefits to production
