Abstract

Humanity never imagined that a viral catastrophe could remove the foundations of societies, threatening human life, making economies precarious, restricting the right to freedom and mobility of the world's citizens. The lethal effects of the pandemic for some activities such as tourism, hotels and transport have been disastrous, creating a critical situation, which forces the sector to reinvent itself and adapt to a completely new and difficult environment and scenario; Essentially, the work presented has the specific objective of guiding the tourism actors of the city of Manta on actions and strategies that they could implement to strengthen their operation under adverse scenarios such as that caused by the Coronavirus-Sars-Cov-2 pandemic, the contents informative and investigative of the article, will guide and describe actions that several businesses of this kind have begun to apply in other countries, they will serve to encourage and induce solutions that allow to counteract the economic effects of the pandemic, and will contribute to the reactivation of the tourism businesses and their operations to sustain and re-float, especially those of the Manta canton, in Ecuador
