Abstract
Educommunication is a broad process that involves dialogue to promote the construction of learning and can be supported by various media, including digital. This is inherent in the training process of police servants, since it can help to satisfy the requirements of their graduation profile. In this sense, the present study established as a general objective to identify the perceptions about educommunication in the pedagogical practices of the instructors of the Sgos Line Police Training Center. José Luis Alfonso Rosero León de Calceta, Manabí. It was approached through the multi-method approach, applying semi-structured interviews to four teachers from the indicated training center and the survey technique using a questionnaire with two response options to a sample of seventy (70) would-be police officers. The analysis of the information from the interview was carried out through categorization and the data from the questionnaires were processed using descriptive statistics. Among the outstanding results is the emergence of the categories Didactic resignification of ICT, Teaching based on practice and Emphasis on teacher training. In addition, educommunication in this center has a tendency towards assertive communication, little use of ICT and active methodologies. It is concluded that teaching praxis can lead to the promotion of dialogic interactions that tend to cooperative, contextualized, pertinent learning with high transfer possibilities, while encouraging formal or self-taught training in the use of ICT or pedagogical tools
