Abstract
The objective of this research is to analyze the intervention of the Social Work professional and the risk associated with exposure to technological addictions in students of the educational system. For this purpose, a quantitative, descriptive methodology was used, with a non-probabilistic sampling and a non-experimental design. The results show that university students have an average level of consumption of social networks, these being their main source of information management. Likewise, they frequently resort to consultancies and web applications to approach and develop their academic activities, especially in integrated areas. The intervention of the Social Work professional is manifested through active participation in processes such as lectures, comprehensive workshops and training programs, aimed at promoting emotional and social responsibility in the use of social networks. In conclusion, it should be noted that the intervention of the social worker constitutes a solid, effective and functional mechanism for professional development, both within and outside the educational context. In addition, it is considered a key tool within the training competencies of Social Work, with a positive impact on the margins and social dynamics
