Abstract

A tourist destination must have factors that offer satisfaction, protection and safety totourists, including quality of service, product prices, natural and cultural attractions. However, every time tourists consider safety as an important factor when choosing their holiday destination. In this sense, this research aims to diagnose the need to design a plan to provide protection to the integrity of people who as a tourist visit Murciélago beach, located in Manta, Manabí province, Ecuador; because it is one of the busiest tourist spots in the coastal region of the country. This work was approached as qualitative research, supported by techniques such as survey, observation and interview. Within the set of findings were found enough reasons that make feasible and relevant the design and implementation of a comprehensive safety plan for the tourist arriving at the afore mentioned spa.  In addition to the results of the research it is concluded that Murciélago beach, even if it has favorable situations, also presents conditions that jeopardize the safety of users, so the design and implementation of a security plan is very relevant
