Abstract

The present work is justified because it is a latent problem that occurs in the majority of students of the institution in question and others, therefore my research will help to solve internal problems in the area of ​​mathematics, it had as objective to analyze the importance of gamification in the learning process in the area of ​​mathematics in the students of the Dr. Luis Aveiga Barberán Educational Unit of the city El Carmen-Manabí, which favored an active, intellectual and cognitive intervention developing a construct in the mathematical domains for the scope of meaningful learning. The quantitative approach was used, which allowed determining the scope, or favorable results with respect to the work carried out, the research was developed at the descriptive level, oriented through a non-experimental field investigation. based without any alteration to the object of investigation, that is, collecting the data in reality, directly from the students of the mathematics area of ​​the aforementioned Educational Unit, for the collection of information the survey technique was used through the polytomous questionnaire, which allowed the opinion makers to endorse their responses through various opinions, the descriptive analysis process was carried out, for which the statistical analysis was deployed to be tabulated and quantified by means of frequency techniques and thus collect statistical information, it should be noted that one of the most significant results is that most teachers indicate that the use of gamification in the classroom helps as a viable strategy for students to motivate themselves to learn the subject of mathematics, it is concluded that gamification is one of the most relevant strategies because it becomes a key ally to help all children and adolescents in the teaching-learning process and even more so in the area of ​​mathematics, since for a long time This subject has been seen as one of the most monotonous.
