Abstract
This work takes a look at how education currently faces the challenge of adapting to growing digitalization and technological advances. Digital Teaching Competence emerges as an essential component for the success of the teaching-learning process at the La Concordia Educational Unit. This competence goes beyond the mastery of technological tools; involves integrating technology into the classroom to enrich the educational experience. The institution seeks to implement policies and strategies to strengthen the digital skills of educators, improving educational quality and preparing students for a technological world. The lack of digital skills among teachers can limit the potential of educational technologies. Training in digital skills is a fundamental pillar in education in Ecuador, allowing educational transformation and adaptation to the local reality. The research aims to analyze how the training and technological updating of teachers affects the integration of technology in the classroom and its impact on student learning at the La Concordia Educational Unit. A qualitative methodology will be used that involves an exhaustive review of specialized literature, interpretive analysis and search for connections between components of the Digital Teaching Competence. This approach will allow us to understand the relevance and applicability of the competence in the current educational context and of the institution in particular
